IOCL invites applications for IndianOil Sports Scholarships to promising young players with a view to encourage talent and create a pool of sportspersons from whom to select sport appointees to the Corporation.
Eligibility Criteria
Age: 14 to 19 years.
Category: There will be two categories of scholarship: 'Elite Scholar' and 'Scholar'
Elite Scholar: Team Games - Representing the country. Individual Games - National ranking between 1 to 5 in Juniors or Sub-Juniors category or semi-finalist / Finalists of national championships.
Scholar: Team Games - Representing the state team
Individual Games: National ranking between 6 to 15 in Juniors or Sub-Juniors category or quarter-finalist of national championships.
The sports scholarships will be awarded for the following games: Athletics, Badminton, Billiards & Snooker, Chess, Cricket, Golf, Hockey, Table tennis, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Archery, Boxing, Carrom, Gymnastics, Kabaddi, Shooting, Swimming, Wrestling, Football and other games (with medal prospects).
Duration of the Scholarship: 3 years
How to apply:
The sportsperson should submit the application necessarily in the formats given on the website with all columns duly filled along with passport size photograph. It is mandatory to send a copy of the birth certificate. Photocopies of relevant press cuttings and the certificates, duly authenticated by their respective State Association or the Principal of their school/college may be submitted.
